SandSpawn combines a compact sand-flea-inspired profile with movement, scent delivery and subtle sound—so the lure is doing something even while your rod sits in the spike.

SandSpawn artificial sand flea lure
1

Scent chamber

Designed to hold your preferred scent or bait material inside the presentation.

2

Internal rattle

Adds subtle sound and vibration as current works the lure.

3

Current-driven action

The surf creates the movement. You do not have to constantly work the rod.

4

Compact surf profile

A small crustacean-inspired presentation designed around the way pompano feed in the wash.

Simple presentation

Cast it. Set it. Let the surf work.

A hi-lo rig is the preferred starting point, but SandSpawn can also be adapted to Carolina-style and other bottom presentations.

Step 1

Rig it

Fish SandSpawn on a hi-lo surf rig with an appropriate sinker for the current and conditions.

Step 2

Add scent if you want it

Use the chamber with your preferred scent or bait material. SandSpawn can also be tested clean.

Step 3

Let the water move it

Cast into productive water, set the rod, and allow the wash and current to create most of the action.

FIELD TESTED

Built at the printer. Tested in the surf.

SandSpawn is being tested and refined in real fishing conditions. These are real catches from the development process—not stock photography.

FAQ

Before you hit the surf.

How should I fish SandSpawn?
Start with a hi-lo surf rig. Cast into productive water, set your sinker, and let current provide most of the lure movement.
Do I need to add bait or Fishbites?
Not necessarily. SandSpawn can be fished clean, but its chamber is designed to let you add your preferred scent or bait material when you want it.
Can I use it on something besides a hi-lo rig?
Yes. The hi-lo rig is the preferred presentation, but anglers can experiment with Carolina-style and other bottom-oriented rigs.
What species is it made for?
SandSpawn was designed around pompano and surf fishing, but the profile can appeal to other species feeding on small crustaceans and forage in the wash.
BORN FROM CHARLESTON SURF

Designed where the bait isn’t always there.

Along the Charleston coast, natural sand fleas can be surprisingly hard to find. Beaches like Folly have undergone repeated renourishment to combat erosion, a process that can temporarily disturb the small organisms living in the surf zone.

That problem helped inspire SandSpawn: create a reusable sand-flea profile that anglers can fish whether natural bait is abundant or nowhere to be found.

Built one prototype, one print plate, and one surf session at a time — then tested where it matters: in the wash.
THE DESIGN

Built to mimic the compact profile of a sand flea while carrying scent through moving water.
